Meet daniel

Daniel is a dedicated husband and father who balances his personal life with his professional responsibilities as a bilingual pastor and business owner. With a profound commitment to his community, Daniel is driven by a vision to restore integrity to the office of mayor, ensuring that city hall serves the residents of West Chicago with effectiveness and transparency.

Family Man

Having resided in West Chicago for over 25 years, Daniel, along with his wife Jody and their four children, has deeply invested in the community. Throughout this time, he has served as the pastor of New Life Bilingual Church and operated a small landscaping and snow removal business. Their children have thrived in the local environment, with the eldest now teaching in District 33 alongside Jody, while the others continue their education at various levels within the local school system.

A heart for all people

Daniel’s commitment to West Chicago extends beyond his family. He has fostered a close-knit community, engaging in initiatives such as community listening sessions to address local concerns. These efforts revealed systemic issues requiring greater transparency and accountability in city governance. In response, Daniel helped form “WeGo for the People,” a 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to addressing these challenges. Through extensive research and dialogue with community leaders, Daniel has sought to understand and resolve the persistent issues facing West Chicago, advocating for a government that inclusively serves all its residents.

A personal note from dan

As you may know, the city has recently tried to fine me $20,000 for building a greenhouse in my backyard—after issuing me permits and after approving the structure in many city inspections. As frustrating as that process has been, I’m thankful to that poor costly, uninhabited greenhouse that drew my attention to what was happening at a systemic level in West Chicago.

As a Spanish-speaking pastor at New Life Bilingual Church, a small business owner at Affordable Lawn and Home Care, and a parent that raised a family in West Chicago, I care deeply for our community from every angle.
